American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is committed to saving lives and inspiring hope in individuals impacted by suicide. Through funding scientific research, educating the public, advocating for mental health policies, and providing support to survivors, AFSP addresses suicide prevention and mental health promotion. By raising awareness, reducing stigma, and empowering individuals to seek help, AFSP strives to create a resilient and supportive community, fostering a culture that values mental well-being and saves lives.

Chef  Patrick Hoogerhyde

     Chef Patrick was raised in King Salmon, Alaska on subsistence salmon and wild game, and he came to understand the importance of properly cooking and preparing food.  Patrick  graduated from Western Culinary Institute in Portland.
